Mikkeller is a globally recognized craft beer brand founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2006 by Mikkel Borg Bjergsø. Originally starting as a 'phantom' brewery, Mikkeller gained fame for not owning its own brewing facilities for many years, instead collaborating with established breweries around the world like De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium to create innovative recipes.

Today, Mikkeller operates its own physical breweries in locations such as Copenhagen and San Diego, while continuing to collaborate internationally. The brand is known for its experimental approach, artistic label designs, and a wide variety of styles ranging from traditional lagers to complex barrel-aged stouts and sour ales.
