Garanti BBVA, originally founded as Garanti Bankası in 1946, is one of Turkey's largest and most established financial institutions. It provides a comprehensive range of banking services including retail, commercial, and investment banking.

Over the decades, the bank evolved into a technological leader in the Turkish market. Its ownership structure underwent a significant shift when the Spanish multinational financial services group, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), began acquiring stakes in the company. Currently, BBVA is the majority owner, holding nearly all of the bank's shares, leading to the rebranding as Garanti BBVA to reflect its global integration.
