D-reizen is one of the most recognized travel agency brands in the Netherlands, originally founded by Dirk van den Broek in 1966. For decades, it served as a staple of the Dutch high street, offering a wide range of vacation packages, flights, and travel insurance. The brand became famous for its independent comparison of various travel providers, positioning itself as a consumer-centric vacation specialist.

Following a period of financial restructuring and bankruptcy in 2021, the brand was acquired and revitalized. It now operates as part of the Prijsvrij Vakanties group, which is itself backed by the major German tourism conglomerate REWE Group (through DERTOUR). This ownership structure has enabled D-reizen to integrate advanced digital booking systems while maintaining its physical presence and local expertise in the Dutch market.
