Arc'teryx performance apparel and gear

Arc'teryx is a high-end outdoor equipment and technical apparel brand founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Known for its innovative design and premium quality, the company was originally named Rock Solid before rebranding as Arc'teryx in 1991, inspired by the Archaeopteryx lithographica, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight.

While the brand maintains its 'Arc'One' manufacturing facility in New Westminster, British Columbia, for premium product lines and technical repairs, the vast majority of its manufacturing is performed in high-quality facilities across multiple countries, including Vietnam, China, and Romania to meet global demand.

In terms of ownership, Arc'teryx has undergone several corporate transitions. It was acquired by the Salomon Group in 2001, which was subsequently purchased by Amer Sports in 2005. Today, Amer Sports (and its subsidiary Arc'teryx) is owned by a consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports. Despite this ownership, the brand's global headquarters, design lab, and core development teams remain firmly rooted in North Vancouver, Canada.
