MG Motor Auto

MG (Morris Garages) is a legendary British automotive marque with roots dating back to 1924 in Oxford, England. Originally famous for its open two-seater sports cars, the brand has undergone several ownership transitions throughout the 20th century, becoming a part of British Leyland and later the Rover Group. In the mid-2000s, the brand was acquired by Nanjing Automobile, which subsequently merged with SAIC Motor.

Today, MG operates as a subsidiary of the Chinese state-owned giant SAIC Motor. While the brand maintains a design and engineering center in the United Kingdom to preserve its British heritage, the vast majority of its vehicle production takes place in China, as well as newer assembly hubs in Thailand and India to serve global markets. The current lineup focuses on affordable passenger cars and electric vehicles.
