Bench is an iconic British heritage brand that emerged from the underground skateboarding and BMScene in Manchester in the late 1980s. Originally focused on graphic t-shirts that resonated with youth culture, it quickly evolved into a full lifestyle brand famous for its hooded jackets and urban aesthetic.

While the brand originated in the United Kingdom, its manufacturing is now global, with production facilities primarily located in Asia to serve its international markets. Following some financial restructuring in the late 2010s, the brand's intellectual property was acquired by the American brand management firm, Gordon Brothers.

In 2020, Apparel Group became the strategic partner for the brand in several territories. Today, Bench continues to be a staple in urban streetwear, managed by Global Brands Group and other regional partners under the ownership of Gordon Brothers, maintaining its status as a worldwide fashion name.
