The brand has undergone several ownership changes as the health food market consolidated. It was first acquired by the French company Nutrition & Santé in 1972. Following various corporate transitions involving global groups like Sandoz and Novartis, the brand now sits under the ownership of Nutrition & Santé, which has been a subsidiary of the Japanese Otsuka Pharmaceutical group since 2009. Manufacturing remains largely concentrated in France to maintain the brand's heritage of quality and expertise in nutritional science.
