Montelciego Crianza red wine

Montelciego Crianza is a red wine from the La Rioja region in Spain, produced by Bodegas Muriel. The wine is crafted from 100% Tempranillo grapes sourced from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta, regions known for their limestone soils and traditional viticulture methods. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by aging in American oak barrels for 12 months, which imparts flavors of vanilla, cocoa, and toasted notes. The wine is then aged for an additional 12 months in the bottle before release. Bodegas Muriel, located in Elciego, Álava, Spain, has been producing wines since the early 20th century, blending tradition with modern techniques to create wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
