Babybel Cheese Snack

Babybel is an internationally popular brand of small, individually portioned snack cheeses encased in a distinctive wax coating and cellophane wrapper. Originating from France, the brand was first launched in 1952 as a smaller version of Bel's larger cheese wheels, with the iconic "Mini Babybel" format debuting in 1977.

The brand was created and continues to be owned by the Bel Group (Fromageries Bel), a major multinational cheese manufacturer headquartered in Suresnes, France. In the UK and Ireland, the brand is managed and distributed by Bel UK Ltd.

While the primary manufacturing hubs for Babybel products distributed in Ireland and across Europe are located in France (notably in Évron), the Bel Group also maintains production facilities globally to serve regional markets.
