Over the decades, the biscuit became a traditional pairing with coffee across European cafés, eventually being branded internationally as 'Biscoff' (a blend of 'biscuit' and 'coffee').

The brand is owned and operated by Lotus Bakeries NV, an international confectionery and bakery group headquartered in Lembeke, Kaprijke, Belgium. The company remains largely family-controlled and continues to manufacture its flagship Biscoff biscuits primarily at its home plant in Belgium, as well as facilities in the United States and Thailand for global distribution.
