Signia hearing aid

Signia is one of the world's leading brands of prescription hearing aids and audiological technology. The brand traces its direct roots back to Siemens Audiology Solutions, which pioneered early hearing instruments in Germany as early as 1878. In 2015, Siemens divested its hearing aid division to Sivantos, which introduced the brand name 'Signia' in 2016 as the successor to Siemens-branded hearing aids.

In 2019, Sivantos merged with the renowned Danish hearing aid manufacturer Widex to form WS Audiology (WSA). WS Audiology operates dual headquarters in Lynge, Denmark, and Singapore. The ultimate ownership of WS Audiology is held jointly by the Danish Tøpholm and Westermann families (the founders of Widex) and the global investment firm EQT, along with the Strüngmann family.

Signia hearing aids are engineered with advanced research and development primarily conducted in Germany and Denmark, while component manufacturing and assembly take place across specialized international facilities, notably in Singapore, the Philippines, and Europe.
