The fuels and petroleum products sold under the MOL brand across its retail chain are primarily refined at MOL Group's major refining facilities located in Hungary (the Danube Refinery in Százhalombatta) and Slovakia (the Slovnaft Refinery in Bratislava), along with regional sourcing depending on supply logistics and regional terminal networks.

MOL originates from Hungary, formed in 1991 through the merger of nine state-owned petroleum companies into Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Rt. (MOL Group). Headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, MOL Group is an international publicly traded energy corporation. In Romania, the company's network and distribution operations are managed directly through its dedicated local subsidiary, MOL Romania Petroleum Products S.R.L.
