Dettol Laundry Sanitiser is an antibacterial laundry additive designed to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in wash cycles, even at temperatures as low as 20°C.

The Dettol brand was originally developed in the United Kingdom in 1932 by Reckitt & Sons (later Reckitt & Colman) to help prevent sepsis in mothers following childbirth in hospitals before expanding into domestic disinfectant and cleaning markets.

Today, Dettol is owned by Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (trading as Reckitt), a British multinational consumer health, hygiene, and nutrition company headquartered in Slough, England. Reckitt manufactures Dettol products across numerous manufacturing hubs worldwide, including facilities across Europe and the UK to supply the regional market.
