Locoid (hydrocortisone butyrate) is a widely prescribed topical corticosteroid medication used for treating various inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

The Locoid brand was historically developed by the Dutch pharmaceutical firm Yamanouchi / Gist-Brocades (later becoming part of Astellas Pharma). In 2017, Astellas Pharma agreed to divest its European dermatology portfolio, including Locoid, to the Danish pharmaceutical specialist LEO Pharma. Today, LEO Pharma, headquartered in Ballerup, Denmark, is the ultimate owner of the brand in Europe, with primary manufacturing of topical creams often handled at dedicated specialized facilities such as Temmler Italia (Aenova Group) in Italy.
