Doggy was established in 1903 in Vårgårda, Sweden, and has grown to become one of the leading pet food producers in the Nordic region. In 2020, Doggy AB was acquired by the Dutch pet food company Partner in Pet Food (PPF), a major European manufacturer of private label and branded pet food headquartered in Budapest, Hungary. PPF itself is owned by international private equity investor Cinven (via its majority stake acquisition in 2024 alongside co-investors).
