Vespa is an iconic Italian luxury scooter brand renowned worldwide for its timeless pressed-steel monocoque chassis and distinctive aesthetic. Originating in Pontedera, Italy, in 1946, the brand was patented and manufactured by Piaggio & C. SpA as an affordable and stylish mobility solution in post-World War II Europe.

Today, the Vespa brand is owned and manufactured by the Italian automotive manufacturer Piaggio & C. S.p.A., which is controlled by the Italian holding conglomerate IMMSI S.p.A. While main production and design heritage remain centralized at the historic factory in Pontedera, Italy, Piaggio also operates manufacturing and assembly plants in countries such as Vietnam and India to cater to international markets.
