FRITZ!Box Wi-Fi Router

FRITZ!Box is a widely recognized brand of broadband routers and telecommunications consumer hardware, originally introduced in 2004 by the German networking company AVM Computersysteme Vertriebs GmbH, founded in Berlin in 1986.

Unlike many consumer electronic devices manufactured entirely in East Asia, AVM manufactures a significant majority of its hardware within the European Union, with key production facilities and EMS partnerships located directly in Germany and neighboring European countries.

In July 2024, AVM announced a generational ownership transition where European private equity firm Imker Capital Partners became the new majority owner alongside the remaining co-founders. Operating from Berlin, AVM continues to develop, design, and manage the FRITZ! brand ecosystem, providing high-performance DSL, cable, fiber-optic, and 5G networking solutions across Europe.
