ORLEN Fuel and Convenience Services

ORLEN is a major multi-utility energy and petroleum brand present throughout Central and Eastern Europe, including Germany. Founded in Poland, the brand emerged following the 1999 merger of Petrochemia Płock and Centrala Produktów Naftowych (CPN), adopting the name PKN ORLEN (now ORLEN S.A.). In Germany, ORLEN operates hundreds of retail filling stations under both the star and ORLEN brand names, managed by its Elmshorn-based subsidiary, ORLEN Deutschland GmbH.

The company refines fuels across several modern refineries located primarily in Poland, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic, and distributes fuel, convenience goods, and EV charging solutions across Europe. The ultimate parent entity is ORLEN S.A., a publicly traded corporation headquartered in Płock, Poland, in which the Polish State Treasury holds a strategic minority interest.

While Orlen is primarily associated with this European energy corporation, it should not be confused with completely unrelated entities such as small tech or local businesses operating under similar regional trading names.
