Marlboro Line Blue is a variant of the globally recognized Marlboro cigarette brand, presented in standardized/plain packaging as mandated by Slovenian and European Union tobacco legislation.

The Marlboro brand traces its origin to London, United Kingdom, where tobacconist Philip Morris opened a shop on Bond Street in 1847 and introduced the Marlboro name in 1924, later establishing major commercial success in the United States. In 2008, Philip Morris International (PMI) was spun off from Altria Group (which retains ownership of the Marlboro trademark in the United States) to handle all markets outside the US.

Today, Marlboro products sold across Europe and Slovenia are owned and marketed internationally by Philip Morris International, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, United States, and operationally managed from Switzerland. Production for European markets takes place across multiple large manufacturing facilities, notably in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania, with local distribution in Slovenia coordinated via Philip Morris Ljubljana d.o.o.
