Sportful is a renowned Italian brand specializing in high-performance technical sportswear, particularly tailored for road cycling, gravel riding, and cross-country skiing. The brand's origins date back to 1946 when the Cremonese family founded the Manifattura Valcismon knitting mill in Fonzaso, Belluno, nestled in the Italian Dolomites. In 1972, Giordano Cremonese developed a specialized racing suit for the Marcialonga cross-country ski race, leading to the official establishment of the Sportful brand. Building on this background in performance winter textiles, Sportful launched its dedicated cycling line in 1985, which quickly gained international acclaim through partnerships with professional teams and athletes.

Today, Sportful remains part of the MVC Group (Manifattura Valcismon S.p.A.), which also encompasses other notable performance brands such as Castelli and Karpos. MVC Group is headquartered in Fonzaso, Italy. While product development, design, and high-tech testing are centered in Italy, production takes place across multiple countries, including European manufacturing facilities (such as Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina) and specialized factories in Asia.
