HP Sauce Original Steak Sauce & Baste

HP Sauce, renowned as "The Official Sauce of Great Britain," was created in the late 19th century by grocer Frederick Gibson Garton in Nottingham, England. Named after the Houses of Parliament after hearing it was served in the parliamentary dining rooms, the brand quickly became a staple in British households and spread widely across Commonwealth countries including Canada.

In 2005, the HP Sauce brand was acquired by the H.J. Heinz Company from Danone. Following the closure of the historic Aston Cross manufacturing facility in Birmingham in 2007, production of HP Sauce was transferred to Heinz's plant in Elst, Netherlands, where the condiment sold across European and North American markets is primarily produced.

Today, the HP Sauce brand is owned by The Kraft Heinz Company, an American multinational food conglomerate formed by the 2015 merger of Kraft Foods Group and H.J. Heinz, co-headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In Canada, the product is imported and distributed via Kraft Heinz Canada ULC.
