Spyker is an iconic Dutch automotive brand with a complex history dating back to 1880, when brothers Jacobus and Hendrik-Jan Spijker founded the original company in Hilversum. Initially gaining fame for building the Golden Coach for the Dutch monarchy and later for its innovations in four-wheel drive and aircraft engines during WWI, the modern incarnation of the brand was resurrected in 1999 by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn.

Today, Spyker is recognized globally for its handcrafted, aviation-inspired supercars like the C8 Preliator. While the brand has faced significant financial restructuring and multiple ownership changes over the last two decades, including a brief ownership of the Saab brand, it remains a symbol of Dutch engineering prestige. The brand's manufacturing has traditionally been centered in Zeewolde, Netherlands, though various partnerships have seen components sourced internationally.
