Courir is a leading French retailer specializing in sneakers and sports-inspired fashion. Founded in 1980 by Léon and Lucien Odier, it quickly became a benchmark for urban culture in France. While Courir functions primarily as a retailer for major international brands like Nike, Adidas, and New Balance, they also produce their own private labels. Manufacturing for these private labels and the third-party brands they carry takes place across various global locations, predominantly in Asia.

Historically, Courir was owned by the Groupe Go Sport. However, in a significant shift in the European retail landscape, the brand was acquired by Equistone Partners Europe and subsequently, JD Sports Fashion Plc announced moves to integrate the brand into their expansive portfolio. As of 2024, the brand is in the process of full integration under the UK-based JD Sports, reflecting the consolidation of the sneaker market.
