Originally founded by a team of engineers and designers in Cambridge, UK, Viridian Solar quickly established itself as a leader in the building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) market. In April 2021, Viridian Solar was acquired by the Marley Group, a market leader in roofing systems in the UK. Subsequently, in 2022, the Marley Group (including Viridian Solar) was acquired by Marshalls plc, a major British manufacturer of natural stone and concrete hard landscaping products. Today, Viridian Solar operates as a specialist subsidiary within the Marshalls plc group, leveraging the parent company's extensive distribution network and building material expertise to expand its presence in the sustainable construction sector.
