ICA Bakchoklad Ljus is a light baking chocolate (milk chocolate) specifically formulated for desserts and baking, featuring a 37% cocoa content. The product is part of the private label range of ICA, Sweden's leading grocery retailer. While the brand is quintessentially Swedish, this specific baking chocolate is manufactured in France by DIPA (Cémoi Group), a specialist in chocolate production.

ICA’s history dates back to 1917 when Hakon Swenson founded Hakonbolaget in Västerås, Sweden, with the revolutionary idea of allowing individual retailers to join forces for purchasing power while maintaining their independence. This model led to the formal creation of ICA AB in 1938.

In early 2022, ICA Gruppen was privatized and delisted from the stock exchange. As of 2026, it remains under the ultimate ownership of Murgröna Holding AB, which is controlled by ICA-handlarnas Förbund (the Association of ICA Retailers) holding an 87% stake, and the pension company AMF holding 13%. This structure ensures the company remains rooted in the cooperative spirit of its founding Swedish retailers.
