Beurer is a historic German brand that has evolved from a small family business into a global leader in the health and well-being sector. Founded in 1919 in Ulm, Germany, by Eugen and Käthe Beurer, the company initially focused on electric heating pads. Over more than a century, it expanded its portfolio to include medical devices, beauty products, and fitness equipment.

While the company's research, design, and engineering remain centered at its headquarters in Ulm, Germany, its manufacturing footprint is international. Beurer operates a major production facility in Veszprém, Hungary, which has been active since 1992 and was recently expanded to serve as a hub for medical devices. In 2024, the company further diversified its European production by opening a new plant in Moldova. Additionally, many of its consumer electronics are produced in the Far East, particularly China, to maintain global competitiveness.

Beurer remains a family-owned enterprise, currently managed by the fourth generation of the founding family. This private ownership allows the brand to maintain its focus on long-term innovation and quality without the immediate pressures of public shareholders. The brand is recognized globally for its 'Mittelstand' values, blending traditional German engineering with modern technology.
