Armour Star Treet luncheon meat

Propriétaire :Conagra Brands, Inc. (États-Unis)
OrigineÉtats-Unis
Fabriqué :États-Unis

Treet is a classic American brand of canned luncheon meat, originally introduced in 1939 by Armour and Company. It was developed during the Great Depression era as an affordable, shelf-stable protein alternative to fresh meat and competitors like Hormel's Spam. Unlike Spam, which is primarily pork and ham, Treet is uniquely formulated with a blend of mechanically separated chicken and pork, giving it a finer texture similar to bologna.

Over the decades, the brand has changed ownership several times. After being part of the Dial Corporation for many years, the canned meat division was eventually acquired by Pinnacle Foods. In 2018, Conagra Brands completed a multi-billion dollar acquisition of Pinnacle Foods, bringing Treet into its extensive portfolio of shelf-stable food products. Today, Treet continues to be manufactured in the United States and remains a staple in the budget-friendly canned goods aisle.
