blend-a-med Complete Toothpaste

blend-a-med is a prominent European oral hygiene brand with a rich history originating in Germany. The brand was introduced in 1951 by Blendax GmbH, a company based in Mainz that became one of Europe's largest toothpaste producers. It was the first medicated toothpaste in Germany, originally developed with medicinal herbs and fluoride to focus on gum health and cavity prevention.

In 1987, the American consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) acquired Blendax, integrating blend-a-med into its global oral care portfolio. Today, the brand is closely related to the North American brand Crest, often sharing similar formulations. While its manufacturing remains strongly rooted in Germany to serve the Central and Eastern European markets, it is also produced at various other P&G facilities worldwide to support regional distribution.
