Duyvis is a quintessential Dutch brand with a history dating back to 1806, when Teewis Duyvis inherited an oil mill in the Zaan region. While the company originally focused on producing oil from seeds and nuts, it transitioned into the snack market in the early 1960s, eventually becoming a household name in the Netherlands for its iconic 'borrelnootjes' (coated peanuts).

Today, the brand is part of the global portfolio of PepsiCo, which acquired it in 2006 from Douwe Egberts (then part of Sara Lee). Despite its international ownership, Duyvis maintains deep local roots, with its primary production facility still located in Zaandam, Netherlands. The brand continues to lead the Dutch market in the nuts and snacks category, offering a wide range of flavored coatings and dip sauces.
