Samson 1795 is a traditional Czech lager brewed in the historical brewing town of České Budějovice. The brand carries a long heritage dating back to the 18th century, representing the classic brewing techniques of the South Bohemia region.

Originally established as the Municipal Brewery in České Budějovice (Bürgerliches Brauhaus Budweis), the brewery has a complex history intertwined with the 'Budweiser' trademark disputes. In 2014, the brewery and the brand were acquired by the global brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). This acquisition followed years of legal competition over the Budweiser name, allowing AB InBev to secure a physical and historical presence in the Czech Republic's brewing heartland. Today, the beer is produced locally in České Budějovice for both domestic consumption and international export.
