Garofalo is a historic Italian pasta manufacturer headquartered in Gragnano, Naples, a region famous for its pasta-making heritage. Founded in 1789 when Michele Garofalo obtained a formal license to manufacture pasta, the brand has grown into a global leader in the premium pasta segment.
The product is manufactured primarily in Italy using traditional methods, including bronze-die extrusion which gives the pasta its signature rough texture meant for holding sauces. While it remains deeply rooted in Italian craftsmanship, the ownership has transitioned over time. Since 2014, the Spanish food giant Ebro Foods has held a majority stake in the company, integrating Garofalo into its worldwide portfolio of pasta and rice brands.
