Gran Passione Appassimento Rosso Veneto IGT is a distinguished Italian red wine produced in the Veneto region using the traditional Appassimento method. This technique involves drying grapes on the vine for approximately 15 days, concentrating their flavors and sugars, resulting in a rich and full-bodied wine. The blend consists of 60% Merlot and 40% Corvina grapes, contributing to its deep purple color and complex flavor profile. The wine is aged in oak vats for 3-4 months, imparting subtle notes of vanilla and spices. With an alcohol content of 14.2%, it offers a harmonious balance between soft tannins and the acidity from rich red and black fruits. Gran Passione is produced by Casa Vinicola Botter, a family-owned winery established in 1928 in Italy. The company has evolved from selling local Veneto wines in barrels to becoming a significant exporter, with over 90% of its sales outside Italy. Botter owns two wine estates in northern Italy: Divici, focusing on organic Prosecco, and La di Motte, which produces a range of wines launched in 1997. The winery is currently managed by the third generation of the family, continuing its legacy of quality wine production.
