Boots, historically known as Boots the Chemists, is one of the United Kingdom's most iconic health, beauty, and pharmacy brands. Founded in Nottingham in 1849 by John Boot, the business grew significantly under his son Jesse Boot, who transformed it into an extensive national chain dedicated to providing affordable medicines and healthcare products to the public.

Today, Boots is a core constituent of Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), an American multinational pharmacy and healthcare holding enterprise formed via the merger of Alliance Boots and Walgreen Co. in 2014. Despite being owned by a US-headquartered parent company, Boots maintains its operational headquarters in Nottingham, England.

Boots develops and formulates a wide array of own-brand personal care, skincare, and over-the-counter wellness lines, including well-known sub-brands such as No7, Soltan, and Botanics. Many of these own-brand goods continue to be manufactured within the United Kingdom, alongside outsourced global production partners in Europe and Asia depending on the specific product formulation and category.
