Blackmagic Design Cinema Cameras and Video Equipment

Blackmagic Design is an Australian digital cinema company and manufacturer of creative video technology and professional broadcast hardware and software, known widely for digital film cameras, DaVinci Resolve post-production software, and live production switchers.

Founded in 2001 in Port Melbourne, Australia, by Grant Petty, the brand quickly established itself globally by providing cost-effective digital video capture and editing solutions. The company designs its equipment predominantly in Australia and maintains manufacturing facilities across multiple regions, primarily in Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore.

In Norway, Blackmagic Design products are widely available through specialized broadcast, pro-audio/video, and electronics retailers such as Foto.no, Scandinavian Photo, and authorized Nordic distributors. While the brand name 'Black Magic' can also refer to confectionery items (such as Nestlé's Black Magic assorted chocolates) or automotive care products, Blackmagic Design operates as an independent private technology firm headquartered in Victoria, Australia.
