FryxGames Terraforming Mars Board Game

Terraforming Mars is a globally acclaimed science-fiction strategy board game designed by Jacob Fryxelius. First released in 2016, the game tasks players with managing mega-corporations competing to make the Red Planet habitable by raising temperature, oxygen levels, and ocean coverage.

The game originates from Sweden, developed and owned by FryxGames, a family-owned independent tabletop games studio founded by the Fryxelius brothers. For English-language editions, FryxGames partnered closely with Stronghold Games (now part of Indie Game Studios) for co-publishing and international distribution.

Like many modern hobby board games, the physical components of Terraforming Mars—including cards, player boards, plastic cubes, and cardboard tiles—are primarily manufactured in China by specialized board game printing and manufacturing firms, prior to being distributed to retail markets across the United Kingdom and internationally.
