Jose Cuervo Tequila

Jose Cuervo is the world's best-selling brand of tequila, with deep historical roots dating back to 1758 when Don José Antonio de Cuervo was granted land in Jalisco, Mexico, to cultivate blue agave. Commercial production began in 1795 at the famous Fabrica La Rojeña in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, which remains the oldest active distillery in Latin America.

All authentic Jose Cuervo tequila is strictly manufactured and bottled in Jalisco, Mexico, adhering to the denomination of origin laws governing tequila production. Blue Weber agave harvested from local fields is cooked, fermented, and distilled at their Jalisco facilities.

The brand is owned by Becle, S.A.B. de C.V. (internationally recognized as the Cuervo group or Casa Cuervo), a publicly traded Mexican spirits conglomerate controlled by the Beckmann family, direct descendants of Don José Antonio de Cuervo. In Europe and Denmark, distribution is managed through international beverage partnerships and subsidiaries such as Proximo Spirits.
