Sharp Washing Machine

Sharp is a historic Japanese electronics and home appliance brand founded in Tokyo in 1912 by Tokuji Hayakawa. Named after the invention of the 'Ever-Sharp' mechanical pencil, the company expanded over the decades to become an international powerhouse in electronics, displays, and home appliances.

In 2016, Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Industry (commonly known as Foxconn) acquired a controlling majority stake in Sharp Corporation, making Foxconn the ultimate owner of the brand.

Sharp washing machines and large white goods are manufactured internationally across facilities in Asia and Europe (often via manufacturing partnerships or regional licensees such as Vestel for the European market).
