Oxbow Apparel & Surfwear

Oxbow is a well-known French surfwear, action sports, and outdoor lifestyle clothing brand founded in 1985 in Pont-Audemer, Normandy, France, by Fabrice Valéri and Isabelle Cachot. It quickly became France's premier surf and boardriding brand, later establishing its headquarters in Mérignac, near Bordeaux.

While Oxbow originally formed part of the Lafuma Group (and subsequently the Swiss Calida Group), it was acquired in 2020 by French executives Emmanuel Debruères and Jean-Christophe Chetail through their holding company Rainbow SAS, returning the brand to French independent ownership.

Today, Oxbow designs its collections in France, with manufacturing distributed across multiple countries including Portugal, France (for selected 'Made in France' capsule lines), Tunisia, and Asia. Note: This French surf and apparel brand is completely distinct from Oxbow Animal Health, an American brand of pet food and veterinary products owned by Compana Pet Brands.
