Arena is a globally recognized performance swimwear and aquatic sports brand founded in 1973 by sports visionary Horst Dassler, the son of adidas founder Adolf Dassler. Inspired by the legendary historic multi-medal performance of Mark Spitz at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, Dassler established Arena to pioneer high-performance competitive swimwear, developing innovative hydrophobic fabrics and ultra-lightweight racing suits.

Over the decades, Arena grew to become an elite staple across competitive and leisure swimming worldwide, frequently kitting Olympic and national swim teams. While originally rooted in Germany and France under adidas, the brand later came under Italian management based in Tolentino, Italy. In 2014, Swiss private equity firm Capvis acquired Arena S.p.A., guiding its modern expansion in both elite technical suits and everyday swimming gear.
