Président is a world-renowned French dairy brand created in 1968 by Michel Besnier in Laval, Mayenne, France. Starting with the famous Camembert Président, the brand rapidly grew into one of the most prominent cheese and butter names across Europe and globally.

The brand belongs to the Lactalis Group (Groupe Lactalis), which was founded in 1933 by André Besnier and remains one of the largest multinational dairy product corporations in the world, headquartered in Laval, France. In Germany, distribution and commercial operations are managed through Lactalis Deutschland GmbH, based in Kehl.
