Brownes Dairy Yoghurt

Brownes Dairy is Western Australia's oldest dairy company, established in 1886. The brand is a household name in the region, known for its extensive range of milk, yoghurt, cream, and other dairy products produced using milk sourced from local farmers in the South West of Western Australia.

After over a century of local and international ownership shifts, including periods under Peters & Browne's and various private equity firms, the company was acquired by a Chinese consortium led by Shanghai Ground Food Tech. Despite the change in ultimate ownership, Brownes remains deeply rooted in Australian manufacturing, continuing to operate its primary processing facilities in Balcatta and Brunswick, Western Australia.
