Sammontana Gruvi is a premium line of stick ice cream produced by Sammontana, an iconic Italian company based in Empoli, Tuscany. The brand is renowned for its focus on multi-textured experiences, combining smooth gelato-style cream with coatings and crunchy elements, such as the pistachio pieces shown here.

Originally founded in 1946 by Romeo Bagnoli, Sammontana remains one of the largest and most successful domestic ice cream manufacturers in Italy. While it competes with global giants, it has maintained its distinct Italian identity and continues to manufacture its products primarily within Italy. Since early 2024, the brand has entered a new phase of growth through a joint venture involving the Bagnoli family and Investindustrial, a leading European investment firm, which now manages a significant portion of its brand portfolio including the Gruvi line.
