Founded in 1328 by Augustinian monks, Augustiner-Bräu Wagner KG remains one of the few major breweries in Munich that has not been acquired by global beverage conglomerates. It is currently owned by the Edith-Haberland-Wagner Foundation, which ensures the brewery's independence and focuses on preserving Bavarian cultural heritage and supporting charitable causes. The brewing process takes place exclusively at their historic site in Munich, Germany.
