St Austell Tribute Pale Ale

St Austell Tribute is a flagship Cornish pale ale, celebrated for its light, hoppy, and zesty flavour profile. It was first brewed in 1999 as a limited-edition beer called Daylight Robbery to commemorate the total solar eclipse, but its immense popularity led to it becoming a permanent fixture under the name Tribute.

The beer is brewed by St Austell Brewery, an independent family-owned company founded in 1851 by Walter Hicks in Cornwall, England. To this day, the brewing process remains centered in St Austell, sticking to traditional methods and using British ingredients like Cornish gold malt and Fuggle, Celeia, and Willamette hops.

St Austell Brewery remains one of the largest independent family businesses in Cornwall and is one of the few venerable regional breweries in the UK that has not been acquired by a global beverage conglomerate. It continues to be owned and managed by the descendants of the founder, maintaining its status as a cornerstone of South West England's brewing heritage.
