Tantum (also widely known by its full brand name Tantum Verde) is a well-established pharmaceutical brand specializing in oral and topical pain relief. The product is most commonly recognized as an oral rinse or mouthwash containing the active ingredient Benzydamine, which provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects for the treatment of sore throats, mouth ulcers, and gum inflammation.

The brand was originally developed in Italy by the pharmaceutical company Angelini (Aziende Chimiche Riunite Angelini Francesco). Since its inception, Tantum has expanded its global footprint through various licensing and manufacturing agreements. While Angelini remains the primary owner and manufacturer in many European and international markets, the product is often manufactured locally under license. For instance, in India, it has been associated with Elder Pharmaceuticals and Zuventus Healthcare, while in other regions, it is produced in Angelini’s own facilities across Europe. Consequently, the manufacturing origin is listed as multiple countries to reflect these diverse production hubs.
