Fürst von Metternich is one of Germany's most prestigious premium sparkling wine brands, deeply rooted in the history of the Rheingau region. The brand is inextricably linked to Schloss Johannisberg, where wine has been cultivated for over 1,000 years. In 1816, Emperor Franz I of Austria gifted the estate to Prince Klemens von Metternich in recognition of his service at the Congress of Vienna. The modern brand was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries through a collaboration with the Söhnlein Sektkellerei.

Today, the brand is part of the Henkell Freixenet group, which is the world's leading sparkling wine producer. The Rosé Sekt Trocken is produced in Germany using primarily Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) grapes sourced from cool-climate German wine regions. The manufacturing process follows strict quality standards at the Sektkellerei facilities in Wiesbaden, maintaining the brand's position as a market leader in the premium Sekt segment. The ultimate owner is Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG, following the split of the Oetker Group empire.
