Steggles is a landmark Australian poultry brand with a history spanning over a century. Founded in 1919 by George Steggles and his sons in Newcastle, New South Wales, the business transitioned from a small family shop to a massive integrated poultry operation. It gained significant fame in the mid-20th century for its mass production techniques and for launching Australia's first chicken fast-food chain, Henny Penny, in the late 1960s.

After several ownership changes throughout the late 20th century, including a period under Amatil and later the Bartter Group, the brand was acquired by Baiada Poultry in 2009. Today, Steggles is one of Australia's most recognizable food brands, and its products are entirely sourced and processed within Australia. The brand maintains a significant presence in both the retail sector through major supermarkets and the food service industry, supplying many of the country's most prominent fast-food chains.
