GREE Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai is a Chinese home appliances manufacturer headquartered in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. It is the world's largest air-conditioner manufacturer, offering a range of products including household and commercial air conditioners, electric fans, water dispensers, heaters, rice cookers, air purifiers, water kettles, humidifiers, and induction cookers. The company distributes its products under the brand name GREE both domestically and internationally. GREE Electric is a majority state-owned enterprise, primarily owned by the city of Zhuhai. As of December 2019, GREE Group, which was owned by the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government, sold most of its stake in GREE Electric to a private equity fund. The Chairwoman and President of GREE Electric is Dong Mingzhu, who joined the company in 1990 and has been instrumental in its growth and development.
