KitKat chocolate

KitKat is a chocolate-covered wafer bar confection created by Rowntree's of York, United Kingdom, and is now produced globally by Nestlé. Rowntree's launched the brand in the UK as "Chocolate Crisp" in 1935, renaming it to Kit Kat in 1937. Today, the global brand is owned by Nestlé, a multinational food and drink processing conglomerate headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. However, in the United States, the brand is manufactured under license by The Hershey Company due to a historical agreement. In the UK and most other international markets, Nestlé manufactures KitKat locally using sustainably sourced cocoa.
