The brand Conguitos originated in Spain in the 1960s, created by confectioner Federico Díaz Medina, and later became a household staple known for chocolate-covered roasted peanuts. In 1987, the brand was acquired by Chocolates Lacasa, one of Spain's oldest and most renowned chocolate and confectionery manufacturers, headquartered in Utebo, Zaragoza, Spain.

Today, Conguitos products, including these Peanut Cream Cups, continue to be primarily manufactured by Chocolates Lacasa in its Spanish facilities, before being exported and sold internationally across Europe, including in specialty and international food retailers in the United Kingdom.
